City Lit Wellbeing Award
‘Celebrating excellence in teaching and learning’
NOVEMBER 2024
I undertook the Contemporary Practise Personal Practise Course at City Lit in London in 2023. Keen to create a new work on the theme of caring in a mental health capacity, the Missing Project was conceived.
The City Lit Awards celebrate ‘outstanding students, inspirational tutors, fantastic colleagues, and innovative projects’. I was deeply honoured to receive the Wellbeing Award which ‘recognises how learning can be hugely significant in contributing to positive wellbeing’.
Marked with a special awards ceremony, guest of honour, Dame Evelyn Glennie gave a speech and presented the awards. Edward Breen, City Lit Musicologist was Master of Ceremonies, City Lit Principal Mark Malcomson gave an address, and Dame Esther Rantzen shared a heartwarming video message with all the winners.
