People are invited to create their own portraits for the ‘Missing’ archive. Referencing Victorian ‘Hidden Mother’ photography, they choose their preferred drape, pose and location. Now that the project has expanded nationwide, people ask somebody else to take their photograph, which they forward digitally. This adds a whole new dimension to the work, creating new conversations around the Project and the concept of being ‘Missing’.
